My Story
(in prose)
I prefer not to toot my own horn, so I will simply string along this yarn, and perhaps by the end of this work, you might leave knowing a little more what I’m worth.
Born and raised in New York, an East Coast kid and New Jersey sport. I fenced and won 5th in state, studied the SATs and did quite great. I fell in love with physics and a senior girl named Gabby, decided to go to Brown University, not too shabby. Chemical Engineering, my unpracticed degree, for working in a plant is no life for me.
Then, a broken heart, so I left my work, and began a journey borne from hurt. Started to run, long distance and all, bought a ticket to Panama. New language, open road, healed my heart, so I returned home to a fresh start. West coast this time, and what’d you know, got a job with Google, as things go.
Big money, good friends, yet all things must end. A need to leave that 9 to 5, a need for more than just survive. Hawaii living, mosquito bitten, hitch hike gittin’. Baja road trippin’, eventually eco-dome home building, a prayer for rain, and a new job came.
A CEO called with a project for me, combining logistics and tech, and I could still live free. Salesforce was next, a CRM (it’s the best), automations and testing, troubleshooting, no resting. A pandemic, got stuck, in Mexico, my luck. A baby conceived, if you can believe.
The company grew, a good thing, true, yet formalization left me an aberration. One morning, a call, and after 5 years and all, was told I’m let go, that’s reorg, hum-ho. Yet life must go on, there are mouths to feed, and boring old jobs to apply for on Indeed, not a one so exciting, as the one I could make, this agency, a business, my own take.
Now, I work for myself and clients I love, sometimes one’s darkness is a gift from above. New challenges abound, new friends I’ve found, and I know I can’t fail with Savvy Sales.
